Every item late could mean another member can’t borrow that item. So, all late returns, or returned items which require additional cleaning to be ready for the next borrower, are charged a fee. This is not how we want to make money: we want everyone to remember and return items on time ready for the next user.
Late Fees
Please note that late fees are charged per item, per day so they can build up quickly. Late fees for each item are capped at the value of the unreturned item.

Late fees are capped at the value of the item you have borrowed – but if we need to replace the item we will also add a £5.00 administrative fee.
If you know in advance that you can’t return items on time because circumstances have changed, contact us before they are overdue and we will make arrangements with you. If no one else is waiting for the item we can renew your loan.
If you have realised you missed the return day, contact us at the first available opportunity so you can make arrangements and limit your late fees. If it’s the first time and we haven’t had to disappoint someone else or chase you up, you might be forgiven.

Payment of Fees
If, unfortunately, you owe late fees, please pay online or in person at drop-off in the Pen-y-Coe Press. Cash or card payments are accepted. You will not be able to borrow another item until outstanding fees have been paid.
Please be aware that returning items late may also place your membership at risk.
